about us
A passion for the simple pleasure derived from using a beautifully designed object, is the driving ethos of this eponymous company, with quality, integrity and good value being the core ethics running through all of Caroline Gardner's product.

[1993]
A chance meeting over a neighbour’s flat tyre led to a commission of unique handmade cards for a Japanese gallery.
Caroline enjoyed making the cards so much and, inspired by their popularity, she began toiling away in her loft to create more and more cards to sell.
Now inundated with orders, with husband Angus alongside her, Caroline made the first steps to build a team from their new home south of the river.

[2003]
The cards were stocked in John Lewis, amongst other household names, as well as hundreds of independent shops up and down the UK.

[2010]
The brand's most recognisable prints: modern florals and of course the timeless hand-drawn hearts were developed. The unique ‘sweet and sour’ colour palette found its voice.

[2014]
The launch of a capsule collection of leather handbags, cashmere accessories and luxury home fragrance extended the look into a lifestyle brand.
[2015]
The store relocated to the hustle, bustle and exclusive boutiques of Marylebone High Street
[2019]
The brand celebrated its 25th birthday!
We stand against a throwaway culture, collaborating with retailers on reusable tote bags, pioneering plastic-free greetings cards and focusing always on considered and classic design; objects that are a pleasure to give as gifts and to use everyday.

meningitis now
Each Christmas our charity cards raise for the important work of the Meningitis Now, a charity with personal resonance to Caroline and Angus.
