Squats Save Lives - Join us

In January this year, we signed up to Meningitis Now's 8,000 Steps a Day challenge.  For 2025, it's all about the squat - they're challenging supporters to do 100 squats a day in January to show their support and raise vital funds for Meningitis Now. Raise £100 and you’ll receive your very own Squats Save Lives medal!  Team CG are getting on board and we'd love you to join us.

Founders Caroline and Angus Gardner chose the charity over 20 years ago, having had a personal experience with the illness when their then 6 months old son, Sebastian contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia. Thankfully he recovered and the family looked to help raise awareness and fundraise in the form of Caroline’s specially designed Christmas cards.

Cases of invasive meningococcal diseases have increased significantly in the UK sine 2022 and Meningitis Now need your help to achieve the goal that no one in the UK uses their life to meningitis, and those who are affected have everything they need to rebuild their lives.

The best part of the challenge is, you can do any squat you like, whether it’s gentle knee bends supported by a wall, or squatting with big weights or kettlebells, or just your classic, regular squat. It’s a simple way to support Meningitis Now in the New Year.

Meningitis can strike anyone, at any time, and so it remains vitally important that they are able to reach as many people as possible with their work – work that is made possible through generous fundraising.
