Meet Bianca from Bable London - host of our Christmas candle painting workshop

Back by popular is the lovely Bianca from Bable London who joined us last year at our Marylebone boutique and hosted the first candle painting workshop.  As part of this year's festive line up, she's back on Thursday 24th October  and bringing a seasonal twist. But who is the lady behind the brand?  We caught up with Bianca to hear more about her journey so far, her brand and the exciting plans coming.

 - Tell us about Bable Candles and how it started

I am a primary school teacher turned candle painter. In lockdown, I  shared a photograph on of a single candle that I had painted, and before I knew it, I was getting so many messages from people asking if they could purchase my candles. I couldn’t believe it! Since then I have gone on to quit my job, paint 1000’s of candles that have been sent all around the world, I have had a pop-up in Selfridges and I host candle painting workshops for brands, hen parties, team social, baby showers, the list is endless...

- What's a top tip for budding candle design and painting?

Keep the design as simple as you can; the simpler the better! Designs always look neater the smaller you paint them. I like repeated patterns of cute designs like fruit, flowers or food. Less is definitely more with it comes to candle decoration and also, have confidence!

- What inspires you?

Colourful prints and patterns. Also, fashion and food trends!

- Where's your favourite place in the world?

The South of France. I go most summers and just have THE BEST TIME.

- Tell us about any stand out/pinch me moments so far with Bable London.

My biggest moment is coming up… When I saw the email come in I couldn’t believe my eyes. Annoyingly, I am under strict instructions not to share anything just yet, but it truly is a collaboration that is beyond my wildest dreams.

- What’s the best gift you ever received?

My engagement ring, my fiancé Sam did an incredible job. It is aquamarine emerald cut and is just beautiful. I am getting married this Christmas!!!

- What’s next for Bable London?

2024 has been my best year yet! Bring on 2025!! I am also in the market for a studio/workshop space.
