Join us on the 8,000 step challenge in January

8000 steps men now

Our friends at Meningitis Now  have shared their new digital fundraiser which they've just launched, The 8,000 steps a day challenge…

Pre-Covid, they estimated 8,000 people per year contract bacterial or viral meningitis in the UK – that’s 22 people, every day.  To help kick the New Year off, they've launched a Facebook fundraising challenge – 8,000 steps a day in January and we invite you to join us in taking part.

The challenge is free to take part in, with no minimum fundraising pledge; they are simply asking everyone to raise what they can.

When you register to take part, a Facebook fundraising page will be automatically set up for you, that you can then share with family and friends for donations. You can register for this here:

If you don’t have Facebook, that’s not a problem at all, you can register at the below link, and instead of a Facebook fundraiser, a social sync fundraising page will be set up for you page (works very similarly to a Just Giving page). You can then share this with friends and family instead. When you receive your welcome pack, you’ll also receive a sponsorship form and a steps tracker to help you along the way:

We'll keep you posted on Team CG's progress and would love to see yours.
